Privacy Policy

This Policy applies to Room Audio Check, including the website, app experience, diagnostic tools, TV session streams, APIs, support communications, and related services.

Third-party services, devices, receivers, browsers, Apple AirPlay, and Client Explorer authentication may have separate privacy practices.

Account and group data

When Client Explorer access is enabled, we process OAuth state, user ID, group ID, email address if provided, encrypted Auth.js session data, token metadata, and session expiration details.

Session data

We process session IDs, join URLs, controller names, speaker layout choices, active test status, planned test suites, selected channels, timing, and generated QR/media state.

Seat phone data

We process seat labels, device labels, node IDs, join time, last-seen time, clock offset, round-trip timing, sync confidence, and measurement status.

Audio and microphone data

The current app captures microphone audio in the browser to calculate local levels, frequency response, damping estimates, clipping, and diagnostics. Raw microphone recordings are not uploaded by the current implementation unless a future feature clearly says so.

Device, browser, and log data

Hosting and security logs may include IP address, browser user agent, request URL, timestamps, error details, and similar operational data.

Support data

If you contact us, we process the information you send, such as your name, email address, message, troubleshooting details, screenshots, or exported logs.

• Operate Room Audio Check, including creating sessions, generating QR codes, serving TV streams, and coordinating measurement phones.
• Authenticate controller access and keep signed-in sessions secure.
• Analyze audio measurements in the browser and show diagnostic reports.
• Debug AirPlay, browser, media, session, and device issues.
• Protect the service from abuse, fraud, security incidents, and unauthorized access.
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations.
• Improve reliability, usability, and diagnostic quality.

We use essential cookies and local browser storage for authentication, OAuth flow integrity, CSRF protection, and session continuity. We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• Service providers that host, secure, authenticate, process, or support the service.
• Third parties when you direct us to integrate with them or authenticate through them.
• Authorities, courts, or other parties when needed to comply with law, protect rights, investigate abuse, or respond to valid legal process.
• A successor organization if all or part of the business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or asset transfer.

Current diagnostic sessions are stored in server memory and may be lost when the server restarts. Generated temporary media is kept only as needed for a session or cache. Authentication cookies expire automatically. Hosting logs and support records are retained for operational, security, legal, and support needs.

If future features store recordings, uploads, reports, or account history, we will update this Policy or provide an in-product notice describing that storage.

• You can decline microphone permission, but microphone-based measurements will not work.
• You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser.
• You can avoid sharing a session link or stop using a session at any time.
• Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, deletion, correction, portability, or restriction of certain personal information.
• You may contact us to make a privacy request or ask questions about our data practices.

Send privacy requests to privacy@roomaudiocheck.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Room Audio Check is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we process. No internet service, browser session, wireless playback path, or storage system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

Ed In Park City LLC is based in the United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
